PROTECT

Income, belongings, account safety, and a household backup plan.

PASS IT ON

Who can help, who receives what, care plans, and important records.

This checkup looks at preparation, not how wealthy you are or which products you own. How scoring works.

About your score

Your score reflects the preparation you reported in the areas LVF asks about. It is a starting point for learning and review—not a credit score, wealth ranking, financial rating, or investment recommendation.

Your LVF Household Readiness Grade is not an independently validated rating. This educational scoring framework is not externally validated. A high grade can still have an important Priority Item.

How this score works

There are 100 possible points: BUILD 35, PROTECT 35, and PASS IT ON 30. The areas below show how those points are divided.

Answers describe plans that are missing, started, mostly ready, or in place. “I’m not sure” affects each question differently; we do not assume a plan exists.

No debt? The repayment-plan question is skipped. No one depends on you for care or support? The care section does not apply. Your total possible score stays 100. A missing plan is not a reason to skip a question.

A serious gap can limit the points in an area. Priority Items are shown separately, even with a high grade. Maintain means keep up the good work; Opportunity means there is room to improve.

Scores are rounded to whole numbers. The three pillar scores add to your total. Grades are A 90–100, B 80–89, C 70–79, D 60–69, and F 0–59.

LVF chose these questions and point weights. Linked sources support education; they do not approve or validate this score. We do not check your documents, coverage, accounts, or the facts behind your answers. No result guarantees readiness. Emergency savings targets vary by household.

    Privacy & your answers

No name, email, exact balance, account number, password, or medical detail is needed. Answers and scores stay in this page’s memory. This tool does not send them to LVF or save them in browser storage. Reloading or starting over clears them.

PDF reports are generated locally and downloaded only when you choose. Store your report securely. This page does not track answers, scores, or checkup activity. The website host may receive normal page-request information, but not your answers. There is no results-by-email feature. Other pages and outside resources have their own privacy practices.

The optional estate-planning choice also stays in this page. Following a referral link does not send your checkup answers. The outside service may track your visit or ask for information separately.

    Educational use

This tool provides education, not personal financial, investment, insurance, legal, or tax advice. Results reflect your answers and do not guarantee an outcome. Get qualified help when you need advice for your own situation.

Financial education is available nationwide. Life insurance services are available only where LVF is properly licensed. No purchase, signup, or sales conversation is needed.
